『Tutorial』Mr. Mr Collaboration: Yuri

Gah! Look at me slowly dying off the face of the blogging world. AHAHCRIES-
I'm so sorry for being so inactive for the past...month? 2 months? LOL
I promise I'll be back and better than ever once all my musicals are finished. Lately, I've been leaving the house at 3PM and returning at 12AM. Praise the lord our grading period is over (though I did get one B from over stressing and lack of sleep. I wish my teacher would bump it to on A. :'< I had a 89.4%. ;;;;;)

Anyways, that Katsucon Post.
SOON.
I'll also probably be posting WIP cosplays (such as my Elsa)! I've been sewing like a mad man trying to get everything done before the convention in summer.

Okok, onto the tutorial!

So the LOVELY Charmaine asked me if I would like to do this collab with her! Coincidentally, I had heard the song a day back and was already deciding to do a make up inspired look of the one of the members! Since I wasn't too picky, I just took whoever was left, which was Yuri. <3

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

To start, we're going to clean and apply foundation. I'm using Skin79's Orange BB cream.

After properly setting the foundation, apply a powder to set. Of course, using my favorite Rimmel Transparent "Stay Matt" Pressed Powder.

Yuri's brows are really defined and long. I used Fairy Girl's Eyebrow Pencil to achieve it.

Take a dark brown and apply it around the rims of the eyes. The brown I'm using here is Jordana Cosmetic's Eyeshadow in Mr. Brown.

Using a opaque black liner, I lined my top lid from my water duct to half a centimeter from the edge. NYX's Retractable Eyeliner is great for this!

I noticed that Yuri has a sharp curve on her eyeliner. However, I didn't want to make it too edgy so my eyes didn't look like they were drooping. By smudging Maybelline's Lasting Drama Gel Liner onto the corners and below the eye, it creates an even and grown up look.

Touch up other parts, curl those lashes, and apply mascara! The mascara I used is Covergirl's Volume Exact Mascara, still the best one I've encountered.

Lips are very important in this look. I noticed how Yuri's lips are extremely round. To recreate this, I first applied a layer of Tony Moly's Lipstain in Cherry. After it had absorbed and was compleatly dry, I applied NYX's Cream Lip Color is Sweetheart. Using the power of highlights and shadows, it made it seem as my lips were fuller.

Here are all the product I used to create...

This look.

And now, the Yuri look is complete!

Thank you once again for our amazing host, Charmaine, for leading this amazing collaboration. I'm honored I got to take part of it! *^*
Check out the other girls too!

『Tutorial』UrMadeUpFace: Gin - Get Ready With Me!

Hello hello!
First off, let me apologize on my complete lack of posting.

And continuous complete lack of posting. HAHA
YOU PROBABLY WON'T SEE ME FOR A WHILE-
I'm also extremely sorry I haven't been leaving comments on any posts lately. Though I usually try to comment, I've only had the time to read them. I am keeping up with everyone though! ;v; I love you all. <3
I haven't been quite emotionally stable either. With tons of family problems and the whole ordeal with straight A's, I've been stressed. Not to mention heartache has been hitting me quite hard as well.
I really miss Carl.
A lot.
//sighs//

Around this time of the year is also when I start becoming super packed because of musicals. Sometimes it makes me think why I even audition for them because they're so stressful. :c
Like seriously. Rehearsal till 5:30 on a half day? That's like, 5 hours of rehearsal! ;A;

On another note, My birthday just passed! I turned 15 on the 6th of March, quite exciting! <3

Anyways, onto the entry I wrote for UrHappyBunny's blog feature! 8D It is on her blog, but I thought I'd post it as well just so I could have a place to announce a few things.

PS: Katsucon post will be coming as soon as I get all my photos back. I can't wait to share with you guys all the pretty pictures I got. ////
Many of them are on my Facebook already! 8D

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Hello there!
First off, before I introduce myself, let me thank Joanne graciously for allowing to do a blog feature. Her "UrMadeUpFace" is an ingenious idea, super happy I got the chance to do one!

So, my name is Gin.
Well, at least my online alias is.
My real name isn't too much of a mystery either, but I preferred to be called Gin on the internet. *^*

I'm 14 years old and currently in 9th grade. I actually started getting into make up around 7th grade, but now I've decided I want to pursue it. What better way than to start a beauty blog? Now, here I am, owner of gindoesbeauty.

In addition to make up, I also sing, draw, act, dance, and cosplay; you can read all about my cosplay adventures and youtube channel on my blog. ;>

Here's a small preview to a photoshoot post I'll be doing soon. B)

I usually listen to guitar or piano arrangements of songs when I do my make up.
AHHH SUNGHA JUNG. <3 His guitar playing is too amazing.
If I don't have music available, I hum~ The song I hum usually ends up deciding what colors and styles I use on my face, quite interesting!

Okiedoke. Let's get started! This is a quick and easy look I've been doing almost every morning!

"Quick, only 10 minutes left until departure!"
Fantanbulous, this shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Here we have the glorious bareface.
REAL TERROR.

Ok, actually though, start off with washing and moisturizing. No one wants all that dirt stuck in their pores for an entire day.

Apply your favorite foundation, bb cream, or cc cream. I'm using a sample of the Etude House CC Cream I got from a recent buy. I didn't even apply powder because this product was so light. Make sure to do so if you use heavier products!

Fill in your brows and stain your inner lip with a pretty red.
Here, I used Tony Moly's Cat Chu Wink for my lips (Which I reviewed here.) and an eyebrow pencil I purchased from BornPretty.

Take a long lasting, brown eyeliner and line that eyelid with drama! I used Maybelline's Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.
Connect an angled line to your waterline; this completes the thick line. It has to end somewhere.
When you use a brown eyeliner, it allows much more room for movement and mistake because of it's subtlety. This makes it a perfect color choice when you're rushing.

If you have time, highlight the inner corners of your eyes. You'll seems more awake; that's always a good thing! I applied an eyeshadow stick I got from, yet again, BornPretty.

And you're done!

This look is super simple and enhances your looks in a very natural way. I don't like to stand out in school if I don't have to, so this make up look is perfect for me. I'd rather get 20 more minutes of sleep than spend 20 minutes on make up. HAHA

And of course, before I walk out, I have to grab my handy dandy EOS lip moisturizer.
That little egg is magical, I swear. Seriously don't know how I would survive without it. *A* <3

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Thank you so much for reading and thank you Joanne for this guest post! <3

『Tutorial』Chinese New Years Zodiac Collaboration: Rabbit

Hello cuties! <3
Today, I'm excited to debut the collaboration me and 11 other bloggers have been working on~

That's right! Today is Chinese New Year; I thought it would be interesting to host an event for it! This year, it's the year of the horse; congratulations to them for making another round in the zodiac circle! *^*

Everyone participating in this even chooses a zodiac animal, in which is represented through a nail art, make up, outfit, etc. inspired look.
I greedily claimed the rabbit first since I'm the host- HAHA
It's my zodiac animal; I couldn't help myself! ;v;

Art by PistachioPanda

People born in the years 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, and 2011 are all rabbits! I happened to be born on 1999.

The rabbit is said to be the luckiest out of the 12 zodiac animals. They're usually conceived as frail and timid because of their appearance. However, many rabbit have strong spirit and wills.

The rabbit represents elegance and beauty.
Many rabbits are also very creative and artistic, usually turning a blind eye to the bad of the word. They're considerate and kind to friends and enemies and hate any sort of hostile acts.

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

I did a make up look, but also integrated an outfit to go with it! *^* I wanted my theme to be beiges, browns, and golds with a hint of gray; those colors come to me as the innocent and elegant. With the addition of those neutral, warm colors, I added splashes of pink on my cheeks show youthfulness. Rabbit also have full and round black eyes, so I wore the lenses that made my eyes pop the most.

Now, with out further blabbering from me, let's get onto the tutorial!

First off, we're going to start with a freshly washed and bare face.

Ugh, eyebags and scars are a nono. Our face needs to be as flawless as a snow rabbit's fur. Let's start with evening our skin tone with some BB Cream. I used Skin79's Super+ BB Cream (Orange). It gives amazing coverage and a warm tone to the skin.

Conceal (don't feel):
I'm using e.l.f's concealer stick to cover up my eyebags and scars.

Bright Pact:
In order to correctly set the concealer with out it cracking, I used TheFaceShop's Bye Bye Dark Circle Bright Pact.

Set:
Lightly patting the bright pact under my eyes sets the concealer and delays melting or cracking.

Matte Powder:
Since I'm not going for a dewy finish, I need to set our BB cream with a matte power. My favorite is Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, which I've been using for 2 years!

Set:
Lightly dust it everywhere so it gives it a smooth and even finish.

Now that we have a base, time to move on to eyes! But before that, we need to moisturize our lips.

Not only does this give the lips a nice healthy shine, but it evens and smooths out the sensitive skin to ready it for lip products. Lip balm usually takes around 5 minutes to moisturize the lips, so it's more convenient to put it on now. This round little ball is an EOS Lipbalm in the flavor of Summer Fruit.

Grey Lenses:
I popped in my favorite and most enlarging pair of circle lenses. These are GEO's Princess Mimi (Bambi series) lenses in Sesame Grey.

Highlighter:
Though most of the dark circle are covered up, a highlighter can never hurt! TheBodyShop's Lightening Touch concealer is great for neutralizing dark tones.

Highlight:
This concealer can also be used as a primer for eyeshadow, so I applied it under and above my eyes.

Finally for some color, lets bring the eyeshadows out!

Select colors:
Start off with choosing which brown is best for your skintone. I'm using Jordana's Color Effects Powder Eyeshadow in Mr. Brown.

Dark brown:
Sweep this color from the far corner of your eyelid and blend it into the center. Build up the brown at the outer corner and flare it slightly upward.

Hazel:
This is going to be your middle color! Blend it from the dark brown to create a dimensional shadow, making your eyes seem rounder. I used a color from my e.l.f 144 Eyeshadow Palette.

Glittery Liner:
I wanted to add a bit of a sparkle, so I used bareMineral's Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner in 11PM to achieve the slightly glittery, sharp line.

Matte Liner:
I feared glitter dusting onto my cheeks, so I used NYX's Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner for 1/3 of my waterline. I also used a White Illuminating Pearl Pen I got from BornPretty on my corners to make my eyes seem even livelier.

Rabbits are very cute and look innocent, so I'm going to go with straight brows.

I got this Fairy Girl Eyebrow Pencil from BornPretty as well! It fills my brows very nicely and won't create harsh lines.

This beautiful pink color from Physicians Formula's Happy Booster Blush is perfect for the apples of my cheeks. I lightly dusted it on to give the impression of youthful and natural skin.

And to conclude our make up, I generously applied TonyMoly's CatChuWink Liptint in Cherry on the inner part of my top and bottom lip to give the illusion of pouty lips. I tired to focus attention on the center to make my lips seem smaller.

Finished!

Whoot! Self photoshoot time again!
//cries in corner
This takes so much time, I swear. Many of the pictures come out blurry too (like the last one) because I have to make the camera focus before I go and pose- GAH.

I put my hair in a faux bob. If you're a regular reader, you'll know that my hair is actually quite long! I got in into a fluffy short bob by doing a lot of teasing. LOOL

If anyone would like a tutorial on how to do it, I would be glad to make one! <3
