『Review』Nature Republic: Hawaiian Fresh Pineapple Pack

Hello lovelies!
Sorry for that short hiatus. ;v; Hopefully I'll be back regularly since summer is starting soon.
I got a lot of new products to review and a lot of things to talk about! Thing will probably start to pick up. B)
Today I'll be reviewing Nature Republic's Hawaiian Fresh Pineapple Pack! I got it on my trip to New York when I was visiting my boyfriend. 8D

Claims

I didn't really find any claims on the pack; it was kinda of an impulsive buy. LOL
However, from some simple googling, I was able to find that this mask claims to make skin brighter and smoother with the pineapple extract!

Active Ingredient

  • Hibiscus - firms agent that also cools the face. High in Vitamin C! (which helps the Whitening of skin)
  • Pineapple Extract - contains enzymes that makes skin elastic, improve skin hydration, and remove damaged and dead cells. It helps achieve a clear and glowing complexion that reduces fine lines and signs of aging.

Texture

Smooth, but not thick. I would say, gel-like and light! There were tiny blades of a grass like material sparely in the mask that was probably used as a gentle exfoliant. When applied it was very, very cold. I almost to the point where I cringed a bit. ;A;
The mask had a lasting coldness that was extremely cooling! To be honest, I could even associate it with being minty. After a good 20 minutes, the cooling sensation began to wear off, so I popped into the shower and washed it off.

("After" is the picture in which I have the mask on. Should've labeled it differently. LOL)

Smell

It smells slightly of pineapple, but nothing too pungent or strong. I quite like it, as it quite accurately portrays the pineapple smell.

Final Thoughts

Ohh my god! My face felt absolutely amazing afterwards. Not only being super smooth and silky, I also felt like it lifted my cheeks and made my face bouncy. Maybe that's what it feels like to get Botox? LOL
I felt extremely satisfied after washing it off, definitely a great way to end a long day of studying. HAHA

Pros

  • Smell good
  • Firms
  • Cooling
  • Amount in singular pack is enough
  • All natural
  • Doesn't drip

Cons

  • A bit messy
  • Extremely cold when first applied

Would I Repurchase?

Since I purchased this from New York in a small Nature Republish store, probably won't get the opportunity too. However, it has definitely made me more interested in the other masks they have to offer! If I happen to find this at a good price again, I would grab it. B)

Final Score: 9.5/10

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day! <3

『Tutorial』UrMadeUpFace: Gin - Get Ready With Me!

Hello hello!
First off, let me apologize on my complete lack of posting.

And continuous complete lack of posting. HAHA
YOU PROBABLY WON'T SEE ME FOR A WHILE-
I'm also extremely sorry I haven't been leaving comments on any posts lately. Though I usually try to comment, I've only had the time to read them. I am keeping up with everyone though! ;v; I love you all. <3
I haven't been quite emotionally stable either. With tons of family problems and the whole ordeal with straight A's, I've been stressed. Not to mention heartache has been hitting me quite hard as well.
I really miss Carl.
A lot.
//sighs//

Around this time of the year is also when I start becoming super packed because of musicals. Sometimes it makes me think why I even audition for them because they're so stressful. :c
Like seriously. Rehearsal till 5:30 on a half day? That's like, 5 hours of rehearsal! ;A;

On another note, My birthday just passed! I turned 15 on the 6th of March, quite exciting! <3

Anyways, onto the entry I wrote for UrHappyBunny's blog feature! 8D It is on her blog, but I thought I'd post it as well just so I could have a place to announce a few things.

PS: Katsucon post will be coming as soon as I get all my photos back. I can't wait to share with you guys all the pretty pictures I got. ////
Many of them are on my Facebook already! 8D

Hello there!
First off, before I introduce myself, let me thank Joanne graciously for allowing to do a blog feature. Her "UrMadeUpFace" is an ingenious idea, super happy I got the chance to do one!

So, my name is Gin.
Well, at least my online alias is.
My real name isn't too much of a mystery either, but I preferred to be called Gin on the internet. *^*

I'm 14 years old and currently in 9th grade. I actually started getting into make up around 7th grade, but now I've decided I want to pursue it. What better way than to start a beauty blog? Now, here I am, owner of gindoesbeauty.

In addition to make up, I also sing, draw, act, dance, and cosplay; you can read all about my cosplay adventures and youtube channel on my blog. ;>

Here's a small preview to a photoshoot post I'll be doing soon. B)

I usually listen to guitar or piano arrangements of songs when I do my make up.
AHHH SUNGHA JUNG. <3 His guitar playing is too amazing.
If I don't have music available, I hum~ The song I hum usually ends up deciding what colors and styles I use on my face, quite interesting!

Okiedoke. Let's get started! This is a quick and easy look I've been doing almost every morning!

"Quick, only 10 minutes left until departure!"
Fantanbulous, this shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Here we have the glorious bareface.
REAL TERROR.

Ok, actually though, start off with washing and moisturizing. No one wants all that dirt stuck in their pores for an entire day.

Apply your favorite foundation, bb cream, or cc cream. I'm using a sample of the Etude House CC Cream I got from a recent buy. I didn't even apply powder because this product was so light. Make sure to do so if you use heavier products!

Fill in your brows and stain your inner lip with a pretty red.
Here, I used Tony Moly's Cat Chu Wink for my lips (Which I reviewed here.) and an eyebrow pencil I purchased from BornPretty.

Take a long lasting, brown eyeliner and line that eyelid with drama! I used Maybelline's Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.
Connect an angled line to your waterline; this completes the thick line. It has to end somewhere.
When you use a brown eyeliner, it allows much more room for movement and mistake because of it's subtlety. This makes it a perfect color choice when you're rushing.

If you have time, highlight the inner corners of your eyes. You'll seems more awake; that's always a good thing! I applied an eyeshadow stick I got from, yet again, BornPretty.

And you're done!

This look is super simple and enhances your looks in a very natural way. I don't like to stand out in school if I don't have to, so this make up look is perfect for me. I'd rather get 20 more minutes of sleep than spend 20 minutes on make up. HAHA

And of course, before I walk out, I have to grab my handy dandy EOS lip moisturizer.
That little egg is magical, I swear. Seriously don't know how I would survive without it. *A* <3

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Thank you so much for reading and thank you Joanne for this guest post! <3

『Review』Tony Moly: Cat Chu Wink Liptint (Cherry)

Hey hey guys! It's finally almost Thanksgiving break, which I'm super excited for.
My insomnia has been coming back and I haven't been sleeping all that well. :'< Hopefully I can catch up on some shut eye this weekend when I'm not busy preparing food.
What will you guys be doing for Thanksgiving?

But on another note, I got off my lazy butt and finally took pictures for today's review, Tony Moly's Cat Chu Wink Liptint in Cherry!

I actually bought this from a shop on Storenvy called Mieuku! A friend of mine shared this on their Facebook and it happened to catch my eye. After looking around, I decided I would purchase this cute little liptint.
It was very reasonably priced and had free shipping! The owner was also very kind. If you're interested in Korean fashion or cosmetics, they're a great store to check out!

Product Information

I got this picture from eBay. It's poorly translated, but hopefully you can get the gist of it. LOL

Basically, it's a liptint that won't harm your lips, but instead will heal them. They claim that it's absorbed rapidly and has a very animate color.

Active Ingredients

  • Jojoba Oil - an extracted oil from the Jojoba shrub. Used as a natural moisturizer. For those confused about the preventing oxidation part, it relatively means preventing aging of the skin.
  • Stevia - actually used as a natural sweetener with no calories. I'm not sure if what they claim in the poster is completely true.

The applicator is similar to lipgloss, but flatter. The color looks super pigmented on the brush!

I was actually super scared for a second because of the blood-like it seemed when I dabbed it onto my hand. After blending it out, however, it was so much more to the color I imagined. Still extremely pigmented though!

Wow. I really applied too much. LOL
This liptint is very vibrant, just like the claims stated. I had put on two coats instead of one because of my experience with The Body Shop's liptint. With these two coats, it lasted me a nice 5 hours with drinking and eating.
It also slightly smells of cherries; now I'm wondering if the other ones smell like their respective color. Though it did absorb very quickly, the jojoba oil really didn't help out that much. It just left my lips feeling the way they started, which I don't mind. Nothing a little lip balm (which I am wearing in both pictures) can't help!

Pros

  • Vibrant color
  • Absorbs quickly
  • No unpleasant smell
  • Adorable
  • Long lasting
  • Affordable

Cons

  • No moisturizing properties
  • Didn't really heal anything

Rating: 4.5/5

Would I repurchase?

Yes! This has been my favorite liptint by far!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found it helpful! <3

『Review』GEO: Princess Mimi (Bambi) - Sesame Grey

Whooo~! Happy Saturday! It's been a super long week for me, but now it's finally the weekend. ;A; <3

Today I'm going to be reviewing Princess Mimi (Bambi series) lenses in Sesame Grey! I got these a while ago from EyeCandy's for my Mikasa cosplay. Since these looked so amazing, I decided a post would be necessary.
Now, before I get into this review, I'd like to state that I wear prescribed clear contacts regularly. If it's your first time inserting lenses into your eyes, it will be difficult. ;v;
Please also note that frauds and fake lenses do exist! They could potentially harm your eyes; be cautious of where you buy them and always clean your hands throughly before handling!

Here's some information from the site:

Brand: GEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38% - 42%
Diameter: 15.0 mm
Base Curve: 8.7
Duration: 1 year disposable

"The latest hit from GEO! As seen on Japanese gyaru model Tsubasa Masuwaka 益若つばさ. Right now, this is all the rage in Japan!"

It has a very high water content so it doesn't get dry easily. I only had to use eyedrops once in a 6 hour period!

http://www.eyecandys.com/geo-bambi-princess-mimi-sesame-grey/

I got the contacts bubble wrapped in a little envelope. It included EyeCandy's card with a wear and care guide. Very nice packaging! I do think they forgot to include the lens case that was supposed to come with my purchase, but thats fine.

EyeCandy's is a site that sells Korean cosmetics and lenses. They've always exceeded my expectations, making them a great place for first buys. The lenses there are all trustworthy and real!
(*note*: I am in no way affiliated with EyeCandy's. I'm doing this only of my own opinion and experiences.)

I let the contacts soak overnight in multipurpose to completely remove the storage solution. To those who are new to contacts, never forget to do this! Storage solution is not gentle and will burn your eyes. ;'<

They actually looked very natural! When I wore them to school, I got many compliments on how big my eyes looked. I love the slight brown ring in the center that helps blend the color. The black ring around the outside is also great at creating an edgy and finished look.

My Thoughts

Comfort: 5/5

Even after 6 hours of wear, I hardly felt them at all. These were as comfortable as regular contacts. With the help of eyedrops, I literally forgot they were there at all.
However, make sure you never wear contacts for more than 8 hours, no matter the comfort. Circle lenses are not recommended for daily wear! Opaque lenses block oxygen, so make sure you always give your eyes breathing time.

Enlargement: 5/5

There was a definite difference in my eye size after putting these on! They looked very natural on my dark brown eyes, but also made them pop and stand out. I'm very satisfied on how it gave me a mysterious and stoic look, perfect for my character.

Pros

  • Super comfortable
  • Very enlarging
  • Natural but mysterious
  • Great for photoshoots

Cons

  • Literally none that I can think of!

I hope you all found this helpful! Thank you so much for reading. <3

Until next time!

『Tip/Tutorial』Eyeliner and Mascara Application for Beginners!

This was actually a requested post from a reader by the name of Green. Thank you for your email and I hope this helps! *^*

If anyone has any questions, feel free to email me~

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•

Hi guys! Today's tutorial is for beginner make up users or people who have trouble doing their eyeliner/mascara. If you aren't, I hope you find my tips helpful in someway or another~

First off, what eyeliner should I use?

Never use random and super cheap brands for eyeliners. You will have a super hard time with application because of the consistency. Not to mention, risks for eye allergies. :< (first hand experience)

Two good brands to start out with are NYX and e.l.f. Super affordable, but also high in quality. Today we'll be using NYX's Retractable Eyeliner and Liquid Liner.

Retractable Eyeliners/Regular Eyeliners

In my opinion, is the best thing to start out with. Smudges aren't usually noticeable, giving room for mistakes!

Step 1:

Hold your eyelid taunt as you start drawing from the middle of eye. Draw outwards first, stopping at where your eyes meet. Then finish the line.

Step 2:

Release your hold and stare straight. Draw and extended line not too far from your eyes. Be fancy and wing it if you'd like!

Step 3:

Determine where you want your bottom line to end. I usually end it 1/2 of the way in. Try to line it as close to the water line as possible.

Step 4:

Draw the outline on the bottom and fill it in! Smudge that line into the direction of the tear duct and retouch any other parts you aren't satisfied with.

Finished!

Liquid Liners

A little harder to control. They're easily smudge-able when wet and requires a very steady hand. The brush is usually thin, allowing you to create thin, edgy lines.

Step 1:

Again, start from the center so you have an idea of how thick you want your line to be. Then go back to redraw the first half. Avoid using too much at a time as it could get into your eyes! Rest your hand on your cheek, drawing as close as you can to the to the waterline.

Step 2:

Estimate what angle and thickness you want you bottom line to be. Connect an outline from the outer part of the top line to where you want it to stop. Creating a steadily thinning line will give the illusion of naturalism.

Step 3:

Fill in the outline and retouch areas you think are lacking. Let everything dry before adding anything else.

Finished!

Mascara

Grab your favorite mascara and an index card! I'll be using the mini version of Benefit's They're Real! Mascara. I got it as a birthday gift from Sephora~

Step 1:

Ok, first off I like to say I completely screwed up the picture for this. LOL
What you're supposed to do is put the index card behind your lashes and brush up. This prevents excess mascara and getting on your eyelids.

Step 2:

Do the same for your bottom lashes. Be sure not to put too much on them or they will smudge under your eyes when blinking.

Step 3:

Put your index card in front of your top lashes and blink around twenty times. This helps separate your lashes and make them seems more natural. Great way to get rid of clumping.

Step 4:

Really isn't a step, just showing how much excess there was on my lashes.

Finished!

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•

After finishing, your eyes should seem larger and more awake! Hopefully you didn't smudge anything. If you did, just try again~ Eyeliner takes practice and patience. Once you start using it enough, it should just be an everyday thing for you. *A*

I'd also like to excuse my acne. :'< I didn't use any face make up in fear that it would make it worse.

But all that aside, here's the finished look!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found this helpful!

『Review』Neutrogena Natural: Purifying Facial Cleanser

Hey guys! Gin here.
I apologize for not having done a review in a such a long time. Everything has been extremely stressful and irritating for me. :<

Because of this, I've been breaking out almost everywhere. My nose, forehead, temples--EVERYWHERE.
I got this from the drugstore a months ago. Absolutely loving it, I decided I would share my review on it.

Description

It claims that, "Neutrogena Natural...cleanser gently washes away impurities and detoxified pores for fresh, clear skin. This face wash contains natural salicylic acid found in Willowbark bionutrients to penetrate deep into pores to detoxify and help remove dirt, oil and makeup, while rinsing clean without pore-clogging residue. Suitable for acne prone skin."

Active Ingredient

Willowbark:

Willowbark is a natural and organic ingredient that has anti-inflammatory properties, relieving swelling and sensitivity. It's also a natural form of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is used to remove dead skin cells, allowing new ones to grow. This also helps clogged pores and wrinkles. As the dead skin is being removed, your skin becomes healthy and radiant.

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•

Smell:

Absolutely amazing. It's smell kinda citrus-y but with candy and tea. The smell will actually slightly stick with you even after washing. However, it's not strong. Just ever so slightly, making you feel very clean.

Consistency:

A bit gel like, but instead watered down. It's clear and feels like regular liquid soap when touched. When applied and massaged onto the face, it lathers into a slight foam that is somewhat difficult to rinse off. It's not oily, just that there's so much it requires a few splashes. A little goes a long way for this product!

Effectiveness:

As I said, I've been having breakouts and blemishes due to stress and school. After using this for around a month, I started realize that the only problem area I had left was my temples (acne in that area is usually caused by overworking, so I'm not surprised). The wash worked really well in washing away my oils. I actually noticed a slight difference in my skin color as well, probably because of the willowbark. My face is usually never oily now and I love it!

Removing Make-up

I tested with NYX Waterproof Liner, NYX Liquid Liner, and NYX Lip Cream. (Did I mention I love NYX products? ❤)

It worked better than soap and water, but worse than regular make up removers. I wouldn't recommend using this for removing make up unless you want to look like a panda and to scrub your eyes like crazy.

Pros:

  • Cleaning oily skin
  • Keeping dry skin hydrated
  • Preventing small breakouts
  • Fantastic smell
  • No harsh chemicals

Cons:

  • Bad at removing make up
  • Slightly difficult to rinse
  • Will not work for extreme acne

Final Rating: 7/10

Thanks for reading! ❤

『Review』Super+ BB Cream 【Skin79】: Gold, Pink, and Orange!

Hi guys!

So, my first review is going to be Skin97's Super+ BB Creams!

(omq look flower and rock)
Alrighty, lets get right down to it.

Description
All three are supposed to improve wrinkles and whiten your skin, all while giving you protection from the suns rays.

So these handy dandy little cylinders come in a rectangular box with instructions on the inside. I don't have one, these little babies have been used by me for a long time. (I threw the boxes out a while ago cause I thought I'd never use them again. Annnnd here I am, needing them.)

The BB cream has a little pump on top, which I found was always amazedly useful. It gave perfect control and allowed me to waste minimum.

Why do I have three, you may ask? Well, I had the problem of not knowing which one to choose...so i bought all three of them-HAHA

This is how all three of them look when they're just pumped out.

(WOW MY ARMS ARE HAIRY-)
Orange: Considerably lighter than pink and gold. On the container is says,

  • UV Interception, SPF50+ PA+++ - This gives you a LOT of protection against the sun. Made for people who are extremely prone to sunburns.
  • Whitening - Well, whitens your skin when applied often.
  • Wrinkle Improvement - Improves your wrinkles. Yay! 8D

Pink: Darker than Orange and Gold, greyish undertone. On the container it says,

  • Whitening - Same as Orange.
  • UV Protecting SPF25 PA++ - Protects your skin from the sun. Won't do more, won't do less. (unless you're a vampire, then you might want to consider Orange.)
  • Wrinkle Improvement - Same as Orange.

Gold: A tiny bit lighter than pink, but about it same, warm undertone. On the container it says,
  • Whitening - Same as Orange + Pink
  • UV Protecting SPF25 PA++ - Same as Pink.
  • Wrinkle Improvement - Same as Orange + Pink

Then I smeared it onto my upper arm.
The coloring is going to be a little lighter than what it normally would be on your face because I packed it on with layers of it. Really though, a little does go a long way. Don't use too much of it cause it will clog your pores if you apply too much. I only applied a lot so it would show up on camera.

(Pink and gold are almost the same.)
Orange:

  • Finishes VERY light. However, it has a really nice, yellow, warm tone to it that makes you happy and brightens your face. Defiantly less dewy than the other two.
  • Smelt similar to medicine (?). It's kinda hard to describe, but I don't like it.
  • Felt very smooth to apply. It blends extremely well and was thick and creamy.
  • Concealed significantly more than the other two. All my acne scars were gone.
Pros: Very nice finish and looked nice on my skin.
Cons: Smelt slightly weird, maybe it's just me. Made a big contrast with face and neck.
Final Rating: 4/5

Pink:
  • Finishes EXTREMELY DEWY AND GREASY. Has a grey undertone that makes me look dead when I use it in the winter.
  • Smelt like a moisturizer with a tiny bit of foundation mixed in.
  • Felt a little weird to apply. It wasn't as creamy as the Orange one.
  • Concealed the least. The grey undertone makes you want to spread it more so it's not as zombie-ish.
Pros: Smells nice! It's nice to use if you have a good powder to set it.
Cons: Difficult to apply and didn't conceal much of my acne scars. Also excessively dewy finish.
Final Rating: 3/5

Gold:
  • Finishes slightly dewy but firm. It has less of a grey undertone and more of a tan one.
  • Smelt like the pink one, but with more foundation.
  • Felt it took a while to blend in, but was very easy to pack. Was also very light at the first layer.
  • Concealed the majority of my acne scars, but not the extremely dark ones.
Pros: Matched my skin tone perfectly. It covered enough of my acne and felt very nice and light on my face.
Cons: Took a while to blend.
Final Rating: 4.5/5

Final Thoughts

After comparing them all, I really do think that the gold one takes the cake in the battle of these three. However, this is just because my skin is normally dry and not extremely tan.

I would more than likely buy the Orange and Gold ones again. The Orange one, again, gives amazing coverage when packed on. It's perfect for cosplaying asian characters because the color is so bright and beautiful in pictures. More SPF will make you look whiter than you actually are in picture though. If you're going to a photoshoot, make sure not to apply access. (then your face will look like a ghost while the rest of you doesn't)
The gold is just great for everyday use and I would recommend it to all my friends who like BB cream. *^*

Which one would you use?

Thank you so much for reading my review!
Until next time~ ❤

☆ hello there! ★

Hello hello! Welcome to my beauty blog!
(Day 34 and they still think I'm a curtain.)
First off, I'd like to say thank you so much for reading. I'm really excited to start beauty blogging after all the great things I've heard about it.

I'm currently 14 year old freshman who loves to sing, dance, and cosplay. I actually decided to start this blog because of cosplaying. I loved doing my make up for it, so someone suggested I started a beauty blog so I could review and do make up. Double the fun! Since I've also recently taken a liking to photography, expect some not-so-perfect pictures. Still learning~! *^*

In my free time, I live to sit down with a cup of tea and watch korean dramas/read manga/watch anime.
Or, well, be even more asian and study.
Or pet my cat.
Or pet my boyfriendiMEAN

I sing and dance on YouTube while also uploading a violin cover occasionally. Though I'm currently on a hiatus, it'd be amazing if you could take a listen while you browse. <3
I'm fairly new to this, so please bare with me. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon, but for now it's just going to be really messy and all over the place! 8D

Oh yeah, be prepared for more eyebags.
Mine are pretty extreme.
