『Haul』Black Friday Haul!

(Warning! This post is picture heavy.)

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Hello!
Gin here after a tiring day of walking around the mall and waiting in lines. OTL
To be completely honest, I didn't really think the deals were all that great. The lines were INSANE, both for fitting rooms and purchases. I did managed to buy a few things before I started getting bored and waiting in line became a pain. 8'D

Ok, lets get started!
The three stores I did manage to get to were:
  • Forever 21 - Cardigan (grey), Skirt, Dress, Cat Body Exfoliator, Tights, Cami
  • American Eagle - Super Stretch Jeggings
  • Urban Outfitters - Cardigan (white)
  • Yogi Castle - 8 DOLLARS WORTH OF FROYO
Ahem.

So, starting off with the grey cardigan I got! (I matched it with the black cami, tights, and skirt. I kinda just threw it on, but it actually isn't a bad outfit. 8D)

I was actually debating if I should buy this. Though I didn't really have a cardigan like this yet and I would always see my friends wearing sweaters with the three shoulder holes, I was afraid it would be chilly. However, I later decided I would get it since it went well with the majority of my wardrobe.
It's super soft and the shoulder holes haven't caused me any troubles yet!

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

The skirt!
Ahhh~ I actually love this so much. I don't have many white skirts because they make my legs look super tan. However, since this one had black intergrated, it was slightly more toned out. I also love the belt that comes with it. <3 It has nice built in boy shorts so there's more freedom in sitting and moving.
The only thing I didn't really like was the zipper. It was slightly hard to zip and I required help. (it's in the back)

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

I feel like a princess in this dress. ///v///

It's a super poofy black dress! All I need now is a prince to carry me. OHOHO//shot
The inside is layered mesh and polyester, making it having beautiful ruffles while being comfortable. The waist area is super tight, but my chest JUST. ISN'T. BIG ENOUGH. ;A;
Though you can't really tell in picture, I always feel really over exposed when I walk. I'll have to wear push ups for these. OTL

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Annnd the other stuff! 8D
The tights are amazing. <3 The stripes slims my legs and gives me the coverage I like! I'm going to go try out the exfoliator later tonight when I go shower. I feels really soft on one side and a little rougher on the other side. The cami was a little bit low cut, but I don't mind. It was only $2, so I felt like it was a pretty good deal!

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Alrighty, the jeggings~
I never expected myself to be a size 00! My thighs a relatively thick and my hips aren't that big, but these fit perfectly. I don't think my legs are fat, just shaped weirdly. Theres a big gap in between them even when I put my feet together. ;v; My legs are probably the most insecure part of myself.

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

And the super expensive item from Urban Outfitters! @A@
It was a whooping $70 before the discount. Luckily, I got it for a nice $50! *^* Though it's not the greatest deal, I think it's really nice for something so long and warm. The bag they gave me was also quality and reusable! There was even a complimentary Redbull. 8'D
I'm wearing this right now. I have to say, it's probably my absolute favorite cardigan out of all my clothes! It's super warm and soft and knit very nicely. The buttons are snaps, so it won't come lose~

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

Well, thats all I got for Black Friday! It wasn't much, but I'm happy with my buys. The thing that stressed my mom and I was looking for an open parking space. People kept taking spots we were waiting for; we didn't park until the forth wait. (Bad manners! :'<<)
My dad did gift me a new mouse though! 8D Finally, one that won't glitch everywhere~
Because of this, I'll probably be posting more with zero frustration in editing my pictures!

I'll probably be doing another haul post with items from Rehoboth Beach's outlets~ Stay tune for my Wonderpore reviews as well! <3

『Life』The Liebster Award

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to all! *A* I just finished eating a wonderful meal. I am super excited to go Black Friday shopping tomorrow! (Will probably be doing a haul post, look forward to it!)

Today I got nominated for The Liebster Award by Mira!

Mira is a amazing blogger who gives great reviews. I love her writing style and I find her blog very easy and fun to read. Not to mention, her blog design is really simple! Go check her out at Le Miel et la Vanille. Thank you so much for picking me!

This award is given to blogs that have less than 200 followers. It's a really nice way for new bloggers to connect and socialize!

If I happened to nominate you, just give me a follow back over Bloglovin', GFC, etc.! It's be amazing if you could check out my Youtube channel as well, but thats up to you. Afterwards, make a post that nominates 11 other people and answer the questions I provided. ^v^

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

First off, the answers to Mira's questions!

  1. When do you start using skincare?
I started using skin care probably around two years ago? In 6th grade, I didn't really care about my skin so it was literally housing acne. I very much regret not getting into facial products at a younger age since now I had these troubling scars to deal with. OTL
  2. What is your favorite skincare brand? Why?
Oh man, this is super hard to answer. I've tried so many brands; usually each having their own strong points. However, for the moment, I think it has to be Neutrogena. Though many of their products dry my face out, their products have all prevented my skin from excessive acne. *^*
  3. What is the most expensive skincare product that you've used before? How was it?
The most expensive skin care I've ever bought has probably been Sephora's skin care set. It was pretty decent, but not worth my $30. :< It was a foaming cleanser with face lotion that slightly clogged my pores, ugh. @A@ Not to mention the foam was really watery.
  4. The most regrettable skincare product you ever bought? Why?
I bought a Julep box which included a face serum. I knew Julep mainly sold nail polish, so I was skeptical about the serum. Deciding there wouldn't be any harm in trying it, I applied it to my face and went to bed. Next day I woke up, my face was COVERED in pimples. ;A; It took me a week to get rid of all of them.
  5. Your opinions on makeup?
A lot of my friends haven't started using make up yet even though I have. They don't judge me for this, which is extremely nice of them. <3 I think make up shouldn't be sometime that is put on for someone, but instead for yourself. Make up makes me feel confident! When I see myself with make up on, it always makes me happy to see that I CAN be glamorus. Wearing make up isn't "fake", as some people call it. It's a form of art that enhances an individuals already amazing features. With that stated, make up should be something one is proud to wear.
  6. What is your favourite makeup brand? Share your must-haves from this brand.
    huifahojfio- MORE HARD QUESTIONS.
My forever favorite brand is NYX. <3 Their products always meet their claims and is extremely affordable. The quality of NYX never fails to meet my expectations. I am in love with their Jumbo Eye Pencils. The color is always vibrant and can be used as eyeliner or eyeshadow!
  7. Foundation or BB Cream? Share me your must-haves with us.
I actually don't wear that much BB Cream/Foundation, but one of my favorites has to be Skin79's Orange Super+ BB Cream! I love the dewy finish it gives me, perfect for winter when faces are dry. <3

  8. Your most favourite makeup palettes and brush sets?
Blush Professional's 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette! A good friend of mine got it for her birthday and said that I could play around with it. It blended so nicely and the color was always super bright. I wore a rainbow shadow design for the rest of her party, staying on even through the pillow fights.
  9. Which celebrity looks inspired you the most?
Make up wise, it's had to be IU. She's just so talented and beautiful that I always wondered if I could be like her one day. While browsing around, i found a picture of her without make up and perfect hair. She looked just like a normal girl! Appalled, I wondered how I would look with make up and nice hair. That was around the time when I started researching about products and how to apply them.
  10. What's your all-time favourite show/series? Why?
All time favorite? Hmmm. I've seen so many now that it's just too hard to choose! Since I had to be on the topic of IU, the only thing coming to my head is the K-Drama, "You're Beautiful". It was a super adorable and fun to watch. <3 (and I love the concept of crossdressing- AHAHA)
  11. Top 3 places you want to go. Share with us why.
I want to go to Japan with my boyfriend someday. We both love the culture and would love to experience it personally. Ahhh, Cat Cafes'. *A* (Though he's allergic. HAHA)

Korea seems like another fantastic place to go. I just want to go everywhere and SHOP. My friend and I are saving up money to go on an all around Asia tour in our senior summer.

And lastly, Switzerland. <3 I've heard so much of the beautiful terrain and towns they have there. While I'm there, it's be great to explore around Europe in general.
My Nominations:
My Questions:
  1. Other than make up, what's something else you love to do?
  2. Do you prefer cosmetics from where you live currently? If not, where?
  3. What are your favorite Skincare products?
  4. How many nail polishes do you own? Which is your favorite?
  5. Share your favorite toner, serum, or lotion. Why?
  6. Have you even gone through intense breakouts? How did you cope with them?
  7. Are you insecure about any part of your body?
  8. What is your absolute favorite food?
  9. What is your opinion on plastic surgery?
  10. Do you have any home-made remedies? If so, what does it do?
  11. How much make up do you wear on an average day?
 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

『Review』Tony Moly: Cat Chu Wink Liptint (Cherry)

Hey hey guys! It's finally almost Thanksgiving break, which I'm super excited for.
My insomnia has been coming back and I haven't been sleeping all that well. :'< Hopefully I can catch up on some shut eye this weekend when I'm not busy preparing food.
What will you guys be doing for Thanksgiving?

But on another note, I got off my lazy butt and finally took pictures for today's review, Tony Moly's Cat Chu Wink Liptint in Cherry!

I actually bought this from a shop on Storenvy called Mieuku! A friend of mine shared this on their Facebook and it happened to catch my eye. After looking around, I decided I would purchase this cute little liptint.
It was very reasonably priced and had free shipping! The owner was also very kind. If you're interested in Korean fashion or cosmetics, they're a great store to check out!

Product Information

I got this picture from eBay. It's poorly translated, but hopefully you can get the gist of it. LOL

Basically, it's a liptint that won't harm your lips, but instead will heal them. They claim that it's absorbed rapidly and has a very animate color.

Active Ingredients

  • Jojoba Oil - an extracted oil from the Jojoba shrub. Used as a natural moisturizer. For those confused about the preventing oxidation part, it relatively means preventing aging of the skin.
  • Stevia - actually used as a natural sweetener with no calories. I'm not sure if what they claim in the poster is completely true.

The applicator is similar to lipgloss, but flatter. The color looks super pigmented on the brush!

I was actually super scared for a second because of the blood-like it seemed when I dabbed it onto my hand. After blending it out, however, it was so much more to the color I imagined. Still extremely pigmented though!

Wow. I really applied too much. LOL
This liptint is very vibrant, just like the claims stated. I had put on two coats instead of one because of my experience with The Body Shop's liptint. With these two coats, it lasted me a nice 5 hours with drinking and eating.
It also slightly smells of cherries; now I'm wondering if the other ones smell like their respective color. Though it did absorb very quickly, the jojoba oil really didn't help out that much. It just left my lips feeling the way they started, which I don't mind. Nothing a little lip balm (which I am wearing in both pictures) can't help!

Pros

  • Vibrant color
  • Absorbs quickly
  • No unpleasant smell
  • Adorable
  • Long lasting
  • Affordable

Cons

  • No moisturizing properties
  • Didn't really heal anything

Rating: 4.5/5

Would I repurchase?

Yes! This has been my favorite liptint by far!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found it helpful! <3

『Review』GEO: Princess Mimi (Bambi) - Sesame Grey

Whooo~! Happy Saturday! It's been a super long week for me, but now it's finally the weekend. ;A; <3

Today I'm going to be reviewing Princess Mimi (Bambi series) lenses in Sesame Grey! I got these a while ago from EyeCandy's for my Mikasa cosplay. Since these looked so amazing, I decided a post would be necessary.
Now, before I get into this review, I'd like to state that I wear prescribed clear contacts regularly. If it's your first time inserting lenses into your eyes, it will be difficult. ;v;
Please also note that frauds and fake lenses do exist! They could potentially harm your eyes; be cautious of where you buy them and always clean your hands throughly before handling!

Here's some information from the site:

Brand: GEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38% - 42%
Diameter: 15.0 mm
Base Curve: 8.7
Duration: 1 year disposable

"The latest hit from GEO! As seen on Japanese gyaru model Tsubasa Masuwaka 益若つばさ. Right now, this is all the rage in Japan!"

It has a very high water content so it doesn't get dry easily. I only had to use eyedrops once in a 6 hour period!

http://www.eyecandys.com/geo-bambi-princess-mimi-sesame-grey/

I got the contacts bubble wrapped in a little envelope. It included EyeCandy's card with a wear and care guide. Very nice packaging! I do think they forgot to include the lens case that was supposed to come with my purchase, but thats fine.

EyeCandy's is a site that sells Korean cosmetics and lenses. They've always exceeded my expectations, making them a great place for first buys. The lenses there are all trustworthy and real!
(*note*: I am in no way affiliated with EyeCandy's. I'm doing this only of my own opinion and experiences.)

I let the contacts soak overnight in multipurpose to completely remove the storage solution. To those who are new to contacts, never forget to do this! Storage solution is not gentle and will burn your eyes. ;'<

They actually looked very natural! When I wore them to school, I got many compliments on how big my eyes looked. I love the slight brown ring in the center that helps blend the color. The black ring around the outside is also great at creating an edgy and finished look.

My Thoughts

Comfort: 5/5

Even after 6 hours of wear, I hardly felt them at all. These were as comfortable as regular contacts. With the help of eyedrops, I literally forgot they were there at all.
However, make sure you never wear contacts for more than 8 hours, no matter the comfort. Circle lenses are not recommended for daily wear! Opaque lenses block oxygen, so make sure you always give your eyes breathing time.

Enlargement: 5/5

There was a definite difference in my eye size after putting these on! They looked very natural on my dark brown eyes, but also made them pop and stand out. I'm very satisfied on how it gave me a mysterious and stoic look, perfect for my character.

Pros

  • Super comfortable
  • Very enlarging
  • Natural but mysterious
  • Great for photoshoots

Cons

  • Literally none that I can think of!

I hope you all found this helpful! Thank you so much for reading. <3

Until next time!

『Life』New York: Romeo and Juliet!

Hi beauties! I'm sorry for my lack of posting. As of the new quarter starting, I've been working very hard to get a good head start on my grades. *^* I have so many new products to review, so stay tuned!

 ∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞

It was 8AM in the morning, and we had left the school for New York~! *^*
On Wednesday, the Drama Club skipped school to go see the first time showing of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway.
Sitting with my lovely friend Roma, we tried to entertain ourselves for a 5 hour drive. Super tired since I was excited to the point of not sleeping. LOL
Friends! <3
We had lunch at a little pizza place where the slices were bigger than my face! I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza that was a bit too spicy. All of us had a piece of cheesecake as well, which was AMAZING. (Ok, this one girl didn't, but she didn't like cheesecake. :<)

Afterward, we were supposed to go to Forever 21 (which was four stories high). Instead, someone suggested we go walk a mile to get frozen yogurt. Yeah, I was kinda angry cause we weren't allowed to split up, but I'm going back during winter break so it's all fine. (Going to visit my boyfriend while I'm at it, so excite. ///v/// <3)

Finally, at 1:30, we started getting seated for the Romeo and Juliet show at 2:00.

Time Square is so beautiful at night. ;v;
It was a very small theater, but I got to meet Christian Carmago and Orlando Bloom in person! (though Orlando didn't accept pictures, I did get one with Christian. ///v///)

Lighting was bad since it was in the theater. :'<
I'd like to say that the show was absolutely amazing. If you live near New York, you should definitely take the time to see it.

Thank you all for reading! I have a Tony Moly liptint, TheBodyShop products, and a haul post coming! Hope you'll eagerly expect those!

『Tip/Tutorial』Eyeliner and Mascara Application for Beginners!

This was actually a requested post from a reader by the name of Green. Thank you for your email and I hope this helps! *^*

If anyone has any questions, feel free to email me~

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•

Hi guys! Today's tutorial is for beginner make up users or people who have trouble doing their eyeliner/mascara. If you aren't, I hope you find my tips helpful in someway or another~

First off, what eyeliner should I use?

Never use random and super cheap brands for eyeliners. You will have a super hard time with application because of the consistency. Not to mention, risks for eye allergies. :< (first hand experience)

Two good brands to start out with are NYX and e.l.f. Super affordable, but also high in quality. Today we'll be using NYX's Retractable Eyeliner and Liquid Liner.

Retractable Eyeliners/Regular Eyeliners

In my opinion, is the best thing to start out with. Smudges aren't usually noticeable, giving room for mistakes!

Step 1:

Hold your eyelid taunt as you start drawing from the middle of eye. Draw outwards first, stopping at where your eyes meet. Then finish the line.

Step 2:

Release your hold and stare straight. Draw and extended line not too far from your eyes. Be fancy and wing it if you'd like!

Step 3:

Determine where you want your bottom line to end. I usually end it 1/2 of the way in. Try to line it as close to the water line as possible.

Step 4:

Draw the outline on the bottom and fill it in! Smudge that line into the direction of the tear duct and retouch any other parts you aren't satisfied with.

Finished!

Liquid Liners

A little harder to control. They're easily smudge-able when wet and requires a very steady hand. The brush is usually thin, allowing you to create thin, edgy lines.

Step 1:

Again, start from the center so you have an idea of how thick you want your line to be. Then go back to redraw the first half. Avoid using too much at a time as it could get into your eyes! Rest your hand on your cheek, drawing as close as you can to the to the waterline.

Step 2:

Estimate what angle and thickness you want you bottom line to be. Connect an outline from the outer part of the top line to where you want it to stop. Creating a steadily thinning line will give the illusion of naturalism.

Step 3:

Fill in the outline and retouch areas you think are lacking. Let everything dry before adding anything else.

Finished!

Mascara

Grab your favorite mascara and an index card! I'll be using the mini version of Benefit's They're Real! Mascara. I got it as a birthday gift from Sephora~

Step 1:

Ok, first off I like to say I completely screwed up the picture for this. LOL
What you're supposed to do is put the index card behind your lashes and brush up. This prevents excess mascara and getting on your eyelids.

Step 2:

Do the same for your bottom lashes. Be sure not to put too much on them or they will smudge under your eyes when blinking.

Step 3:

Put your index card in front of your top lashes and blink around twenty times. This helps separate your lashes and make them seems more natural. Great way to get rid of clumping.

Step 4:

Really isn't a step, just showing how much excess there was on my lashes.

Finished!

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•

After finishing, your eyes should seem larger and more awake! Hopefully you didn't smudge anything. If you did, just try again~ Eyeliner takes practice and patience. Once you start using it enough, it should just be an everyday thing for you. *A*

I'd also like to excuse my acne. :'< I didn't use any face make up in fear that it would make it worse.

But all that aside, here's the finished look!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found this helpful!

『Review』Neutrogena Natural: Purifying Facial Cleanser

Hey guys! Gin here.
I apologize for not having done a review in a such a long time. Everything has been extremely stressful and irritating for me. :<

Because of this, I've been breaking out almost everywhere. My nose, forehead, temples--EVERYWHERE.
I got this from the drugstore a months ago. Absolutely loving it, I decided I would share my review on it.

Description

It claims that, "Neutrogena Natural...cleanser gently washes away impurities and detoxified pores for fresh, clear skin. This face wash contains natural salicylic acid found in Willowbark bionutrients to penetrate deep into pores to detoxify and help remove dirt, oil and makeup, while rinsing clean without pore-clogging residue. Suitable for acne prone skin."

Active Ingredient

Willowbark:

Willowbark is a natural and organic ingredient that has anti-inflammatory properties, relieving swelling and sensitivity. It's also a natural form of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is used to remove dead skin cells, allowing new ones to grow. This also helps clogged pores and wrinkles. As the dead skin is being removed, your skin becomes healthy and radiant.

•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•∞•

Smell:

Absolutely amazing. It's smell kinda citrus-y but with candy and tea. The smell will actually slightly stick with you even after washing. However, it's not strong. Just ever so slightly, making you feel very clean.

Consistency:

A bit gel like, but instead watered down. It's clear and feels like regular liquid soap when touched. When applied and massaged onto the face, it lathers into a slight foam that is somewhat difficult to rinse off. It's not oily, just that there's so much it requires a few splashes. A little goes a long way for this product!

Effectiveness:

As I said, I've been having breakouts and blemishes due to stress and school. After using this for around a month, I started realize that the only problem area I had left was my temples (acne in that area is usually caused by overworking, so I'm not surprised). The wash worked really well in washing away my oils. I actually noticed a slight difference in my skin color as well, probably because of the willowbark. My face is usually never oily now and I love it!

Removing Make-up

I tested with NYX Waterproof Liner, NYX Liquid Liner, and NYX Lip Cream. (Did I mention I love NYX products? ❤)

It worked better than soap and water, but worse than regular make up removers. I wouldn't recommend using this for removing make up unless you want to look like a panda and to scrub your eyes like crazy.

Pros:

  • Cleaning oily skin
  • Keeping dry skin hydrated
  • Preventing small breakouts
  • Fantastic smell
  • No harsh chemicals

Cons:

  • Bad at removing make up
  • Slightly difficult to rinse
  • Will not work for extreme acne

Final Rating: 7/10

Thanks for reading! ❤
